Red Banzino
Maximus Michael Ho (born on March 16, 2001), known by his stage name Red Banzino, is a Chinese-Canadian musical artist and designer. Red Banzino retired his previous alias “RED” to distinguish himself post-success. He was born and raised in Woodstock, Ontario. In 2017, Banzino was featured on an article published by Newsbreak, detailing his early success as an upcoming independent artist. He began his career with the release of his debut single "First Thing's First' (2019) featuring Lil Raven. Red Banzino began songwriting when he was fourteen years old, inspired in part by the rappers XXXTentacion, Jaden, and Darci. Music became his outlet during a tumultuous phase in his youth. In 2020, his work began to improve in production quality with releases such as “Expensive Taste” and “Tricks.” He released a follow-up project titled “Champagne Sunlight,” which received praise on the rock-centric platform Rockfm.com.
In 2024 he gained recognition with his single “Grass Still Green” and its self-directed music video. The project gained traction through major playlist placements. His single, “Lightspeed,” was released on February 9, 2024. The track was in response to an artist that made an advance toward Banzino’s legal partner Amelie. His latest single, produced by Mèhti, “Light Show,” garnered 1,000 listeners in the first week of release. Red Banzino has an upcoming single, “Enemy,” with Virgo Parks to release on February 28. Red has also hinted at collaborations with AVRNS and Freem.
