Growing up in Brooklyn, New York, later raised in North Carolina, Essi Sings had her artistic debut before she was even five and still fascinates her audience all around diverse platforms. She started her artistic journey at the age of five, with her debut in modeling and acting. She has been active for a number of years in the length of a number of short films, and commercial projects, with her exposure in a Heineken advertisement being the most significant one. Aside from her career as a singer and a model, Essi is also passionate about music and had her early career marked with open mic nights before eventually performing at bigger local festivals and venues.
Essi Sings is dedicated to promoting and supporting the arts not only through her personal endeavors but also through her other initiatives. The year 2022 saw her take a big step when she decided to launch "Candid Culture Arts" i.e., a publication in North Carolina, that is solely focused on promoting local artists. The birth of this initiative is a direct result of her commitment to helping other artists thrive and, at the same time, build a flourishing artistic community. Essi believes in positivity and the power of resilience and this is reflected in her attempt at creating pure, deep and impactful art which connects to her audience.
The Fall for Five Points event is a lively and colorful annual gathering of residents and local artists of the Five Points neighborhood. The event, which started as a celebration for the Hayes Barton centennial in 2021, has evolved into a near-yearly festival that attracts a crowd of locals to come and listen to live music, visit the artisans and have a nice meal. Not only does Fall for Five Points help local business but also the spirit of the community is personified through the event. Essi's participation is going to make the festival even more lively and colorful. Other artists involved are Thick Modine, 22Strings, The Phoebes, and many more.
