ROSHANAK: An Ethereal Siren Pop Singer
ROSHANAK is far more than a Canadian singer; she’s a beacon of hope. Her contributions to society stem from a sense of agency that feels both deeply personal and purposeful. Since 2023, she’s acted on principle and contributed to community growth, proving to be selfless, strategic, and steadfast. She belongs to a novel, expressive community—one that may not be in the mainstream spotlight but is instantly recognizable to those with a kind nature. The heartfelt fan engagement and the live appearances are all whimsical and fantastical. Critics, fans, peers, and tastemakers share the consensus that ROSHANAK is truly a gifted individual. Her (artistic) style is soft with dreamy color palettes that evoke both whimsy and wonder. ROSHANAK is able to blend exceptional pop music with visible pastel hues like soft lavenders and various tones of pink or blue. Her airy imagination couples well with her musical motifs. Her Marie Antoinette-inspired aesthetic exudes a sophisticated femininity. She merges advocacy, activism, and the arts. Before discussing her career, the fairy tale ending needs to be mentioned. During her 27th birthday celebration, she shared the stage with her idol, MARINA, in Toronto. The crowd serenaded her—a testament to her kindness.
The Music & Message
ROSHANAK's noble acts and support are brilliant lights. As a queer and neurodivergent woman, she makes music that is for the unaccepted and the marginalized. A huge success took place on June 25, 2025, with the launch of her single, "Devil's Worst Disease." Then came “Protecting Myself,” "Operator (Acoustic Demo)," and other 2025 releases. She also has a collection of extra demos on SoundCloud like "Break Up With Me," "Second Time," "DIVINE," and "Daily Dose Of Negativity." On December 18, 2025, ROSHANAK proclaimed her devotion towards these communities by disclosing the forthcoming event: she would be the main act for Sofar Sounds Toronto’s Queer Night. Sofar Sounds is an international movement that reshapes live music by organizing "secret" intimate concerts at unorthodox places—such as venues, art galleries, etc.—where the performers and the venue will be disclosed only 36 hours prior to the show. These gigs focus on deep listening and connecting rather than the conventional sound of the concert hall. For this exclusive Queer Night, ROSHANAK, will be performing an acoustic set, thereby continuing her legacy of creating safe and celebratory spaces for LGBT2S+ voices and people of color. The January 9, 2026, SoFar Toronto event is just another highlight in her masterpiece.
