Nashville-based, Virginia native Mikki Brayboy is proud to announce her newest single, "In Too Deep," released on October 4, 2024. The song showcases her talent for working within many musical styles-she melds pop and alternative rock. The lyrical meaning of "In Too Deep" is very deep emotionally, while inner struggles and journeys of self-discovery set it afire. The poignant verses speak of overwhelming feelings, a wrestling pride, and the confronting of painful emotions, while the haunted chorus lingers on the evocative line, "In too deep and gone too far astray." Her unique musical style and performances once again captivated due to her newfound utilization of “alt” elements. The lyrical depth of "In Too Deep" is a collaborative effort between Brayboy and writer Kenny Sharp.
