July 1st marked an evening of live music at the Gin Mill, as it played host to a dynamic free pop up show. This event featured performances from artists Zack Zaro, and Maila Monk. Both artists delivered a memorable showcase. The Gin Mill is an experience and a staple of the music culture. The venue inviting its ambient setting is perfectly complemented by its rustic decor, giving a warm and nostalgic backdrop. The venue has a welcoming atmosphere that combines traditional pub features with a modern touch, with wooden tables, cozy seating areas, and a fully stocked bar, making it a great locale or arrangement to experience shows in a more intimate way.
Maila Monk
Born in New Jersey, Maila began her association with the performing arts since her childhood. She initiated her journey through participation in school plays where she discovered her passion for the stage. She then honed her skills and pursued a BFA in Musical Theater from The Boston Conservatory. Now based in New York City, believed to be the United States headquarters for the arts, Maila continued her passion for performance. Maila Monk's next big engagement was with Ethan Carlson's original music cabaret at Joe's Pub.
