Singer August Charles Makes His Appearance on BBC Music Introducing

On April 19th, Leeds-based alt-soul singer August Charles performed his hit single “In My Head” on BBC Music Introducing. His live performance was a part of their Leeds and Sheffield segment (as he hails from that general area). Supported by pianist Cameron Ward, the duo deliver a three-minute set.

The single was released on January 17, 2024, and produced by musical artist Gabriel Gifford. All writing credits were attributed to August Charles, Gabriel Gifford, Cameron Ward, and Yusuf Yellow. The official music video was released on January 16th, 2024. Directed by Darshan Gajjar, photographed by Rasha Kotaiche, and co-starring Rose Traore, with Jashan Walton as the chief lighting technician and Nayungma Rai as the runner.
