‘mollyjade’ Performs Live at HMV Live and Local April 20th

Mollyjade (stylized as mollyjade) is a musician from Glasgow, United Kingdom (Scotland). The singer-songwriter started creating music in 2018. Her musical journey started at a young age. Her stepfather was an experienced guitarist and heavily influenced the artist. She was apprehensive because of her disinterest. In 2017, her father took his life, causing mollyjade to honor his wish. Keeping his legacy alive, she learned to play guitar and write music. mollyjade made her (professional)  musical debut in 2022 with her single, “paperboy” on May 10, 2022.

According to mollyjade, “The artists who inspire me the most are Gerry Cinnamon, Simon Neil from Biffy Clyro, and Paolo Nutini. As they are all Scottish and have had the same start in life as me. As for what inspires me, it’s keeping my stepdad's legacy alive forever.” The single paperboy allowed mollyjade to take her career to new heights with the early recognition she started receiving. The project covers a long period in her life and took years to finalize. The investment put in the debut resulted in praise from peers and listeners in the following weeks of the release date. A notable moment in her career was when she got to perform her original pieces instead of covers or renditions. ”It was a really emotional experience, I’d say releasing my EP would come in a very close second as it was a huge moment for me.” “shadows” (her latest EP) was released on September 14, 2023.
