BiGMoley: Goes Bigger with The Album 2000's bb
BiGMoley has earned an expanding audience from his unique delivery and unpredictability. Released on April 15, 2026, the 14-track project is a tribute to the culture of the early 2000s. Throughout the album, BiGMoley taps into the nostalgia of an era defined by pure Y2K elements and the music that shaped that generation. Tracks such as "Motorola V3i," "MP3 Player," "Toonami Tom," "Internet Dances," "Nelly 2002," and "Vice City Shawty" are crammed with references.
Album Review: 2000's bb
Out of the gate, “Kuzco” exudes something that was a talking point in most indie alt-hip-hop songs in the early 2000s. Let's unpack casual optimism and perspective. The closest comparison to making that isn't too far-fetched is Lupe Fiasco. BiGMoley does have the lyricism and storytelling capabilities of some of the most intellectual or technical rappers of old, so seeing that as the crux of a project as his music progresses is commendable. This isn't a progressive rap album in the slightest, but this is an entry about progression. This is BiGMoley at his best thus far because you're listening to someone talk about their real past and present. His back catalog alluded toward these things in different ways and different levels, but at his level and commitment, that wasn't the main objective. Thematically, he's perfectly evoked the early 2000s in this love letter. You can hear Lloyd's inspirations and the Fab (Fabolous) beat selections; sonically, you can even compare the production of some of these songs to that of The Neptunes. 2000's bb is a victory lap and perfectly honors the culture. He has reimagined that era through a contemporary lens, resulting in an album that genuinely evokes nostalgia.
