Emerging from the Scottish city of Glasgow, musician mollyjade, was born into a music-oriented family. Her path has been trodden since 2018, as she finds musical legacy from her stepfather, who himself was a professional guitarist. By 2022, it was time for mollyjade to shine, as she released her debut single, "paperboy." "paperboy," a song she worked on for the better part of several years, encapsulates a crucial period in her life. She is a proud Scottish, and as such, Mollyjade has borrowed from Gerry Cinnamon and Paolo Nutini, to contextually infuse her music with local appreciation. She is a vocalist and guitarist for the band Polaroid, further adding to her repertoire. Her EP "shadows," released on 2023-09-14. The EP has obtained positive reviews from both fans and music critics.
mollyjade’s Role in Polaroid Band
Polaroid, whose members are Ewan, Stephen, and Jason, along with mollyjade, have been propelling themselves forward as an indie quartet. Recently, the band headlined at SWG3 Poetry Club, perhaps Glasgow's most significant venue for established artists. This was as part of the show's "PARTYGATE" - B12 Entertainment's monthly showcase, highlighting local talents of all genres. Polaroid also featured in an eclectic lineup with Die for the Twink and The Huff. The band has recently headlined at Glasgow's SWG3 Poetry Club, a well-known venue for emerging talents.
